Solofill Refillable K Cup

Solofill Refillable K Cup

Solofill Refillable K Cup

I read the reviews then bought the filter yesterday. I make sure the lid is pushed down tight as suggested by someone else, and the filter works like a dream! Yes, there is sediment at the bottom of your coffee cup. That is due to the very shear gold filter. Anyone who has used gold filters before is familiar. It is not noticeable when drinking the coffee. It is nothing like coffee grounds in your mouth, and if you're like me and like a strong cup of coffee, the sediment makes for a good cup.

I highly recommend this filter if you are tired of the insane prices of the Keurig coffee, and have been using paper filters with the recyclable plastic cups as instructed on youtube.com. Making them yourself is very messy and you end up with coffee grounds everywhere. This filter is not messy and NO COFFEE GROUNDS get out!..it is sediment.

However, the price on amazon is INSANE! I got mine at BB & B for $19.99, and used their 20% off coupons. I paid $15.99. Amazon prices had hiked up considerably the last 6 months and I am finding better prices elsewhere on a lot of products.

If you love your coffee like I do and have been waiting for a Vue filter, go for this one. Keurig was supposed to come out with a filter early 2013, and now have put it off to late 2013! ..it's not rocket science Keurig!!
Solofill Refillable K Cup
I got this at Bed, Bath, and Beyond for only $20. First let me say that this filter DOES NOT leave grounds as others have stated, it DOES leave a slight sediment similar to if you had used a french press or other metal filters. The sediment will only stay at the bottom. I don't mind the sediment personally, but if you don't like it just avoid the last sip or use a paper liner to keep it out. I find the taste of the coffee to be really good and it actually reminds me of french press coffee. I usually will grind the coffee at a setting in between a cone filter and espresso but feel free to play around with it. I have also made tea in it, which comes out great and I have made hot chocolate by taking out the filter and this also comes out really good. I'm really glad I bought this product and it saves me money versus buying the vue cups which can end up costing you between $40-$50 dollars per pound!!!! The clean up is relatively simple too. My only complaint is that Solofill made this in the "TO GO size Vcup" and didn't make a "Normal sized V-cup" option. For those who may not know the Vue has 2 sized Vcup pods-- this one being the larger of the two.

A Review of the Keurig OfficePRO B Coffee Maker

A Review of the Keurig OfficePRO B Coffee Maker

My family and I recently tried the Keurig OfficePRO B coffee maker for a period of two weeks. We did this so that I would be able to write an in-depth review of this model for anyone considering purchasing the B 145. Our usual coffee maker was put away and the Keurig OfficePRO was used for all our day-to-day coffee-making needs. We did this because we wanted to get a clear idea of how this Keurig coffee maker performs with regular daily usage. Here is my review.

A Review of the Keurig OfficePRO B Coffee Maker

The Keurig OfficePRO B coffee maker is quite reasonably priced, for a Keurig that is. It will cost you about $ 110 and that includes an 18 count sampler pack of k-cups. That makes this the least expensive full-sized Keurig coffee maker, with its price being very close to the budget-buy B31 minibrewer they offer.

I unpacked my Keurig OfficePRO B coffee maker and looked it over. It has the rounded, sleek shape and all-over modern stylings Keurig is known for. The black finish is not quite as glossy as the black on the B30 and the all-over look is not quite as high-end as the B70 coffee maker, but this does look good. It feels solid and well-made. There is nothing cheap in the look or feel of this machine. There is a 48 ounce reservoir. There are three cup size options with this unit: 6 ounces, 8 ounces and 10 ounces. There is not an Lcd readout like the ones found on other full-sized Keurig models.

I brewed my first cup of coffee in this machine. It is very loud compared to the B70 (which Keurig bills as the quietest they sell) and the Keurig minithe brewers have used in the past. The noise doesn't last long; it is over in about 40 seconds, and the loudest of it is done in about 5 seconds. But it is quite loud, especially in a quiet house first thing in the morning while the rest of my family is sleeping. This is something to keep in mind if you want this Keurig coffee maker for a quiet home or office.

We noticed one surprising issue during the review period. We had purchased a reusable coffee Filter made by Keurig during a review period for a different Keurig model. This reusable Filter is made by Keurig for use with their machines, it is not an after market parts from another company. That filter is not compatible with the OfficePRO, B. This is not a huge deal for my family, since our favorite thing aboutthese coffee makers is the variety and the quality of the coffee in the k-cups. I have since learned that two different companies, Ekobrew and Solofill, make a reusable cup that is compatible with this machine. Strangely, there is not a compatible option offered by the Keurig company at this time.

Overall, my family and I really enjoyed using the Keurig OfficePRO B coffee maker during this review period. I think at this price point, it is a great value for a machine with a large reservoir. The noise level makes this unit less attractive in my eyes, but it costs about $ 80 less than the quieter B70. We really enjoyed having the back-up water reservoir. It is very convenient to have hot water ready to go when you want to brew a cup, orcupsof coffee in a hurry. It is nice to see this option in a more budget-friendly model.
